  • I am a student at Dirksen Middle school in Calumet I previously just graduated with the class of 2007! Not only is the school horrible but the graduation ceremony was also! They were more than an hour late starting! It was hot! The school gives us students no opportunities to do anything! There are no after school activities and we are on academic probation! The teachers are prejudice and don't reach the standards of a qualified teacher! This year a boy brought a gun to school! There was no warning to the teachers or students that the boy was on the loose with the gun! Teachers had students out in the halls which could endanger them or anyone else in the halls or even teachers and students who have their doors open! In the teacher hand book it says there is suppose to be a special waring over the intercom of the whole school but there was no warning! Everyone in the school was in danger! Dirksen is the worst Middle school in the state of Illinois! Nothing can get worse than this school! I suggest you don't send your child to this school! Send them to a school that will prepare her for you future not failure!
