  • This school has wonderful academics! However, there is a disproportionate number of students who haven't been taught to be kind or compassionate human beings. The school lacks a serious anti-bullying program. They will say they are serious about it, but schools really need ongoing educational programs to supplement their policies. I have a child attending here and for the most part the students are not snobs when it comes to monetary wealth. There are a lot of out of control bullies and just plain mean kids. There are also many well raised respectful students as well. This school system just doesn't seem to care about the bullying aspect however. I don't get it. Their test scores would be even higher if they got the bullying under control.

  • I simply really don't like it, because of the kids that either doing drugs, alcohol, est, and the kids just think their better than anyone in the school, I am a student at FHC and I really dont fit in with alot of the kids because I am not rich, I am not a drugy, I am not super smart so what I am getting at is that here is that half of FHC students are either mean or their nice. My parents almost put me in a private school Crannbrook which is outside of Lansing. I am simply just disappointed in FHC im only a Sophmor and the new expectations of High School is alot harder my parents say High School was really easy for them then I show them a problem in Math they dont get it at all they both had Masters. Also I am disappointed in the staff's because Mr. Blurbocker or something like that hes from Easteren he works at FHC now but ever seens he came to FHC hes made everything worst because you can't walk without him hovering over your shoulder for an example: one of my friends got yelled at by him cause he was simply just saying a teacher here sucked so the stalker guy said suck is a badword or something like that, so my friend just wanted to make him mad so he shouted out Ball-Sack, and stalker man took him to his office called my friends parents and said Your son here said a innapropriate word" then the parents of my friend said "what did he say" he said what my friend said my friends parents laughed at him on the phone yeah my friend was going to be suspended for a week, a week for saying Ball-Sack....So thats why im seriously disappointed in FHC.... Thank you for reading this and getting my view of FHC and how I think of it any comments you want to give me just look me up on facebook at Justin Host thanks

  • I go to this school now and though it has the reputation as the rich snooty brats, thats only true to a certain extent. Look at the other schools around us, Many of them have loads of money too (ahem, East Grand Rapids) and are even brattier. My family is not considered rich by any means and I fit in just fine. The kids at my school are actually very diverse and many kids people would consider "wierd" are accepted. If you go here and sit back and think friends are going to come to you, then well, good luck. Just put your personality out there and you will find friends in no time. And our teachers are really great and we offer a lot of AP and Honer classes which are really nice.

  • This is the best school! Even though the kids are really mean and snooty, overall it is an exeptional school!

  • Although Forest Hills might be overflowing with money, and have a good academic program..Fitting in to this school, you better have a lot of money or you wont have a great social life..When I went here in the 80s..it wasnt as bad, but was getting there..I have talked to a few students attending now, and they struggle to fit in. Punishment is a problem here as well..With the "bad students," they graduate them early so they dont have to deal with them..So, if you arent physically attractive, or your bank account is tight, I would think twice about attending Forest Hills Central..Forest Hills Eastern seems to be a good school, along with Lowell High School.
