  • I have 2 children at the school. I highly recommend the school to any parent. I feel it is a better choice than any of the Port Huron District schools. It is in the country and away from the hazards of city life. The teachers and staff are very caring and supportive of the students. If I have any concerns they are addressed in a timely manner. Many times my children could not afford to go on field trips and the school paid for them to attend. Many times the teachers paid for my kids to go, saying that they needed the experiences that the field trip had to offer. When I had a few extra dollars, I gladly donated and gave my time at different functions. The kids love it at the school and have been helped greatly when they didn't understand something or had trouble learning. There are many wonderful volunteers who help with the children in various ways.
THE ONLY concern I have for the school is very minor. I noticed the kids eat on cardboard trays and nothing is really cooked there. The kitchen is severely small. I am sure they make do with what they were given. I, like many, remember the huge cafeterias and big kitchens when I went to elementary school. I suppose it is a budget issue.
It is really a great school. I am GLAD my family gets to be a part of it. If we moved and the school was not the school the area kids went to, I am glad that we have Schools Of Choice so we could take them there ourselves if the bus could not pick them up. We would go to that school no matter what. Thanks.
