- Woodhaven High School has improve greatly since Ms. LaPointe became principal. Unfortunately some of the teachers need a strong dose of reality and professionalism. Too many take sick days after working parent-teacher conferences. Guess they aren't ready for the real world which requires employees to work longer than a 6.5 hour day. In addition, the school accepts too many "problem" students from other districts.

(Rating: 5 / 5) Report As Inappropriate - A teacher's day consists of checking work and prepping AFTER the students are gone. I put in 8 to 9 hr days on a salary. No overtime as offered in the REAL world. This year conferences were held for one day. Thus, after students were dismissed, teachers remained until 8 that night. A compensation day, which usually follows conferences, is not being given until the Wed. before Thanksgiving.
