  • i hate/love this school. we have a dress code that doesn't let us express who we are. but if you do go to this school the band teacher is awesome. i play clarinet and he helps me with my tone. im on the cougars team and the reading teacher gives a new packet almost every week and she is really sarcastic

  • I loved this school, I only went for half of my 6th grade year and I remember so much! My favorite teacher was Mr. Kirby, and I'm trying to get a hold of him. I'm a junior in high school and this school was the most memorable.

  • I am a grandma to a 8th grade student and I am very upset with the school. They go to a meeting and are told no belts they can be used as a weapon in a fight, no hoop earings they can be pulled off in a fight. instead of just sayin cell phones to be turned off in school they say its because they can take pictures in a restroom (pron) no lockers to many fights in that area, what kind of war zone are the staff in. Then they state the kids are miners and they have no rights, this has put me over the edge. you kids have rights and dont let anyone take them away. Two days a month you can wear what you want for the sum of one dollar that is 2,600 a month that goes to shelters, nice but why not to your fundraising for your school if it doest go to your school and do they show were the money is sent what a scam I intend to pursue this to the end. We my friends live in America

  • Johnson Jr. High School was a perfect place for me to go to school. Although I did not agree with the dress code it was still a very nice place of learning. I was challenged in all of my class and my teachers were amazing. Of course any school would have it good moments and bad moments but Johnson always won me over. I also would like to send praise to Mr. Dan Smythe for being the best choir theacher I had ever had.
I was a former student at the end of 05 - to the begining of 08
Thank You for all that you did Johnson (:

  • My son came from a fantastic school in San Diego, and with Clark County School District be last in the country, I had grave reservations for a highly functioning autistic child. I was blown away by the staff at Johnson! Teri Sobrero has assembled an amazing staff that made my newly mainstreamed son a phenominal success - A honor roll all three years! Ernie Rambo's Future City class went to the Regional competetion every year! What an experience for us! Rich Matta, the band teacher, saw something in our son, and cultivated it...he learned how to play the electric bass, and in the two short years he was in the music program excelled so much, he was accepted in the Las Vegas Academy for Performing Arts - World Jazz Studies program! One of the premier music schools in the COUNTRY! He has a very bright future now in music - thanks to the dedication of Rich Matta and staff at Johnson! My son couldn't sit in the cafeteria or assemblies in school because of hearing issues...now...he plays in CONCERTS! I can't speak highly enough of Teri and her staff at Johnson - they gave my son a future...and pretty amazing one at that!!

  • Johnson was a great school. It provided opportunities for a High School Education.
I, personally, loved the fact of teams. Going from the Coyotes, to the White Tigers, to team 8-1, was an amazing experience. Now I wish my High School had those competitions that they did. The staff made my Junior Hight Experience a wonderful things to remember. (:
I really enjoyed the several field trips, too.

The graduating class of '05-'06 at Johnson won every year. (: From 6th to 8th.

This school is really fun, if you find the right friends to enjoy it with. (:

(Right now I attend the Northwest Career And Technical Academy - class of 2011. Yeah!)
