- I find this school to be failing it's students, the state and the school district in which it is a part of. As a former student I can testify of teacher known theft, teachers inability to teach and control their classrooms. Teacher instigation,poor building maintenance, fesses and urine stained bathrooms, gang violence and recruitment, degrading circumstances for students with disabilities especially in the Harold A. Birch Vocational Program and teachers and administrators who either do not care about the welfare of their students or can not do anything about it. Also the withdrawal rate from this school from either
A:) student transfers
or
B:) student dropouts
is at a phenomenally high rate because as I have heard from other students the school is just inadequates for their needs. Me myself have completely transfered out of the State of Rhode Island and have moved to Boston, MA and enrolled in Boston Public Schools which has already helped me with clothing vouchers and a good sum of money.
My advice for students and Parents is to stay clear of Mount Pleasant High School or transfer your yourself or your child out of there because not only is your child's education in danger but the overall welfare of your child as well.

I have good memories of the kids and students,,I went into the Marines in March 1968,,does anyone have a year book maybe there is a pic of me I sure would like to have a copy of the pic,to show my kids and grandchildren what I looked like with hair,,lol
