  • I am currently a junior at HCHS and while there are some good qualities about the school, like having the choice to take CL and AP classes that prepare us for college and even help us in earning college credits. But of course there are disadvantages, there's always those teachers who are there just because they have to be, and as a studend I absolutely HATE that. You have to be stuck up their butt so get a decent grade and you stilld don't know enought to pass your SOL. I had this very senaro last year in Geometry, thank goodness for an assissant teacher, a William & Mary student, to help me actually learn the material and reteach me everything she got up and front of the classroom and tried to teach. Luckily this teacher quit so she could further her education, in my opinion this was much needed. I know the principal wants all of the students to do well but sometimes it is extremely hard with the teachers we have to deal with.

  • Now i am a Senior this year at HCHS and i know that this is it for me. I loke this school even though that there is fights, and a lot of commotion in this school, teachers fighting and people getting wrote up. But i am going to school everyday until i finish it once and for all.
But the worst time anybody will have in the HCHS is being a ninth grader. As a ninth grader you are just a beginner, never get in a fight with a 10th, 11th, or 12th grade student. They have there own hall way.

  • I hate the way that Halifax High treats some students like they are gold and the others are treated like they are dirt. I have tried to get a meeting with the principal since January and guess what I've not met with him Yet.

  • This is an Excellent School! Our daughter, Robin attended this school, last year. We are pleased with the quality education she received and the discipline offered by the school! They have an excellent staff always willing to assist and answer any questions. Thank you!
