  • SPRATLEY was a great school and great staff. The parenting and structure begins at home, when parents DONT teach/discipline and bust their childrens butt for bad behavior, do NOT blame it on the school! Do NOT blame the school for a parents responsibility darling! Syms has it's issues as well and the adminsitration hasnt impressed me at all there.

  • Um.Well honestly its been a bumpy road ahead of Syms.Im not saying its the worst school ever its just that when i get older i wouldnt send my child(ren) with me. Theres totally way to lmuch DRAMA there.its not a safe enviorment for your kids, and some of the teachers just dont care at all.I can honestly saqy that when i started going to Syms in thie 6th grade it was like the climbing Mts.but i got through my 6 grade year and made it to 7th, and now that I am in 7th and i have seen all that has come from Syms i now Know that thats not the school i would like to go to next year.It has been nothing but trouble these two years..but i can happily state that i did pass all of my Sols and i will be going to the 8th grade with no help to syms.....

  • The office staff, administrators and teachers are some of the best in the city! Very welcoming to the parents and supportive of the students. I have a child at Jones Gifted and I find the staff at Syms to be much kinder, helpful and supportive! Syms is a great school!

  • This school is the second or third magnet middle school is way better there is a gifted progam and for the magnet side you have to be picked by the lottery. the school website is ay better. just check i pretty sure you will agree. there are fights at syms like everyday mostly the kids in the eighth grade. if you had a choice of jones then syms jones would be better and safer.

  • yeah i go to syms and its a very good school..i mean we have fun and we do activities and sometimes i can get very fustrated with my one teacher but she can teach me what i need to successfull..but i am in the 7th grade this year and i made honor roll..syms is a very good school and it has many good people in it trust me you will never be bored here and i think if your child is failing its not because of the teachers its actually your child because Syms has after school programs to help the child get their grades up in their weakest subjects:)

  • I give great praise to "all" teachers and administrator's at Sym's for all the great work they do with our children. This is one of the best schools in our area. Not only are our children taught the fundamentals of learning but they are taught that respect and hard work will help them achieve all their dreams. Keep up the great work. My child, as well as myself, will miss you all next year, as she moves into the next phase of her learning experience. The Kecoughtan staff will be pleased with your influences in her life and work ethic you shown her it take to be successful.

  • This is a very good school and an accredited one. You should be happy your student is here and not at Lyndsey or Spratley that is not accredited and has violence problems.
