  • As parents who have had the good fortune to send their children to Christian schools in several states, we have developed a very good sense of educational values. After watching our 5 year old struggle through his first year of school, we, of course, gave a careful evaluation of the schools performance. Although our son has struggled with his speech from the onset, we have worked very hard as a group (parents and son) to get him on track. After being tested by an outside source, our son was speaking, pronouncing, writing and understanding math as a 7 year old would. Conversely, we were informed by his teacher at his year end review that it was not advisable to advance him to the next grade. Astoundingly, they had made their decision based on observation of only one month and had not felt it necessary to help him (or inform us) in areas "THEY" saw he was coming up short. They had felt he would pick it up the following year. My wife worked/volunteered in his class and saw first hand that the evaluation was not accurate. Finally, teachers and school staff will follow whatever example is set by their leader. And please, get whatever your told (promised) in writing, because it will be forgotten or over looked. Because of all this and much more, we will be sending our children to public schools. At least there you can see the challenges ahead and can plan accordingly. Our email address is listed above, please feel free to contact us if you are considering sending you children here.
