  • My children have attended this school for 2 years. It is not very organized at all. They use workbooks to teach the students, I used as a kid. Their staff is very cold except for Ms. Andrea-she is very loving and patient with my children. The school seems to be going some kind of change, as she is no longer there. They do not discipline at all and have numerous calls to pick up my child, that I just withdrew them. My children are very behind on their basic math facts, can not read or spell. I am happy my children are now getting brought up to speed in their new school.

  • My children attended this school for a couple of years. There was a change in administration and teachers seem to have a high turn over rate. I pulled my children from this school and have since found out that they are extremely far behind mostly in reading and have had to put them in a reading program at there new school. I am happy I got them out when I did!

  • My children have attended Peoria Horizons Charter for several years. The first couple of years there was a feel to the school that was very energetic and positive but this year has been very disappointing to me as well as several parents. Administrators and teachers are constantly being moved around or quitting. There is something wrong with how things are being ran and the teachers don't seem to have much faith in the curriculum them selves which intern effects the children's academics and behavior tremendously. They do not have a system in place when it comes to redirecting the children and rely solely on the parents for guidance and discipline and are constantly calling the parents to pick there children up over normal child like behaviors that teachers should be able to handle on there own with back up from parents. They do not have much control over there classrooms since certain teachers and administrators have left. There basis is good but they just came seem to stream line the school in general.
