Glendale Schools

Glendale has three unified school districts that serve the public schools such as Deer Valley Unified School District, Dysart Unified School District, and Peoria Unified School District. Deer Valley Unified School District is the largest of the three unified districts and serves portions of Glendale, Peoria, and Phoenix. Peoria Unified School District provides services for primary and secondary schools in Glendale and Peoria. Besides the three unified school districts, the elementary schools and high schools each have their own school districts. Glendale also has colleges and universities. Midwestern University is a private graduate school of medicine. The school trains students in different areas of the medical field. Students can receive a doctor's degree in osteopathy (Doctor of Osteopathy), Physicians Assistant, Doctor of Pharmacy, and others. Glendale Community College is another institution for students. It offers associate degrees, certificate programs, and industry-specific training. Students can also transfer college credits to a four-year college or university. Maricopa County Community College District, which is located in Glendale, is the largest community college district in the United States.
