Description

• This lesson plan is learning about health. Students will also make bookmarks that relate to health.

Goals

• Students will learn:
  
  * About health
  
  * How to make bookmarks that relate to health

Materials Needed

• * Books on health that you can read to the students.
  
  * Construction paper cut in strips
  
  * Pictures that illustrate health such as someone brushing their teeth, toothpaste, washing hands, box of tissues, or other types of pictures
  
  * Glue
  
  * Crayons

Procedure

• First, you will discuss the importance of good health such as brushing your teeth, not putting toys in your mouth, using tissues, washing hands before and after meals, and other examples.
  
  You can also discuss health by reading a book to the students.
  
  Then, have the students choose a picture from the pictures you have selected and paste one on their bookmark strip.
  
  They can also color a picture that relates to health.
  
  After that, they can share their bookmarks with the class.

• You can grade the students on their bookmarks and their creativity.
