  • In this lesson, students will have basketball relays with the basketball.

  • Goals

  • Students will learn:

    * To dribble the basketball

    * To control the basketball without letting it get away

    * To move quickly with the basketball

  • Materials Needed

  • * Basketball for each team. There will be two teams.

  •  
  • Procedure

  • First, students will number off into two groups.

    Then, they will line up at one end of the gym.

    After that, the first one in each line will have the basketball.

    They will dribble the ball and walk quickly to the other end of the gym. Then, they will dribble the ball back to the start and hand the ball to the next person in line.

    If they let the ball get away from them, then they need to start over again and dribble the ball down to the other end of the gym and back.

    The winner is the team whose players finished first.
