  • My son is in the ninth grade. He started here in 6th. I have to say all the teachers, that my son has had go the extra mile. When he had difficultly they spent the extra time to assist him.My daughter just statreted there this year. She is in special ed. I was concerned if their educational program was good. Well I was very impressed with the program and the teachers who teach it. My daughter is doing excellent and has learned alot. So the bottom line is the teachers show great interest in their students. there has been a few problems with other students. They do take it serious and take care of it, this can happen anywhere.

  • i dont like IS2, i am in 7th grade arts academy, and i just want to say that my science teacher is not good at ALL she teaches the 7th grade S.P. She is a very bad teacher. also there are alot of fights and teachers or assistant pricipals dont do anything about it. in 6th grade i liked that school, but now i dont even like it alittle bit. IS2 is supposed to number 1 and be the best school in Staten Island. but its not.

  • I just started in this school, im in the arts academy, im going into seventh grade. everybody that goes here turns out bad, teachers have told many of us that in sixth grade the students that are bad now were like little angels, and once they got used to this school they turned fresh, and bad. i really dont want to turn out the way everybody else did, and the food is terrible, but its not the worst school ive been to... hopefully it does get better but our vice principle ms danke is definitely trying to make this school a better place for us, and so are the teachers :)

  • My son just started 6th grade this year at the school and so far so good. they have lots of rules, which I hope they enforce, my son feels safe in the school and they started class right away. the only complaint if any I have is that I have been trying to contact the UAU to see if he can be placed in basketball and nobody has answered me. also I am a member of which has a group for the school and is even offering $100 to the school who has and keeps 20 members by sept. 30th and I am trying to contact the mothers so they can join and I have no help from the teachers or the parent coordinator. aside from that the school seams fine.
