  • There is required parental involvement which is wonderful! I think the bad reviews come from parents who are too lazy to be involved with their kids education. It is a difficult school (more homework, more learning) so if you do not ecourage your kids, then it is easy to be behind. As far as discipline, if your child is disciplined, then there is no problem. Uninvolved parents who care more about themsleves than kids tend to have problems. How hard is it to volunteer for 18 hrs a school year and attend PTA meetings?

  • Very chaotic learning environment with very little parental involvement. Discipline is very lax and enforced inconsistently. Lack of extra curricular event. Principal and Vice Principal try hard and are very nice but do not seem interested in listening to those parents that are involved. School wide testing scores are in a decline. My children will be going elsewhere next year.

  • My children attended this school for the previous two school years. The curriculum on paper is very good, but overall the lack of an effective discipline program, parental involvement and the high level of disruption in this open pod school makes learning very difficult. The administration does not effectively deal with disrespectful and unruly students. The Vice Principal shows favoritism in his actions. The office staff is very nice and seem to know all the children and parents personally. There is a lack of extracurricular activities and sports. I am very disappointed that the school does not have more male teachers, but a lack of support and difficulties in teaching has made most of them leave. My students are attending a different school for the 2008-2009 school year.
